As a multi-disciplined hands-on artist creating art furniture,
it’s about knowing your craft, honing in on your aesthetic,
then the piece has to speak for itself in all aspects.
Furniture’s “functional” aspect is first to be addressed through design as well as engineering.
Then, I work back and forth between art and design in the making of objects of purpose to find that balance.
Crafting the design and choosing the best materials that elevate the piece into art is the third component,
that gives birth to the idea.
This marriage can give you freedom of design, and a plethora of options when collaborating on a specific project.
