The door is a metaphor for so many things;
it often dually symbolizes an end and a new beginning.
Doors were first seen historically in the paintings
inside Egyptian tombs.
The Roman God Janus was the God of doors and doorways
and also the god of beginnings,
endings, transitions, gateways and time.
So there begins an idea……
Doors are also a blank canvas for me to play.
Besides the functionality,
it is an opportunity to add a detail of art and design
to everyday living.
It is that special “icing” that creates
soul, style and a story to a home.
